San Lorenzo Farm

Description

Finca San Lorenzo is located about 15 minutes drive from the center of Villa de Leyva in the village of Moniquirá. Situated on top of a hill, this house enjoys beautiful views of the countryside and is located between fields of lavender and olive trees.

The home is rustic but comfortable, built of adobe brick with wood beams and vaulted ceilings. The sunken living room is a perfect gathering place with a large fireplace and adjacent open chef's kitchen. The entire social area opens to a covered porch with ample dining for 8-10 people with grill and deck with fantastic mountain views.

This home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom with king size bed, opens onto a surrounding covered terrace with outdoor fireplace and hammocks. The en-suite bathroom is a room in itself, partially open to the outside, surrounded by ferns and local plants and flowers. A selection of books sits within the rustic wood accents, and a large screen TV adorns the adjacent wall.

The second bedroom also opens onto the terrace and has two single beds and a large screen TV. Access to the bathroom is through the hallway.

A third bedroom is located a stone's throw from the main house, along a small stone path, in a cozy log cabin with fireplace and terrace. This room also enjoys a private bathroom, next door in its own cabin-like structure. The feel of this unique home takes you back in time, but with contemporary comforts.

For larger groups, this house offers a 2 bedroom / 2 bath guest house (additional cost). Housekeeping is available (and required) at an additional cost.

Access to the "temazcal" (sauna) of the property is possible, as well as to the swimming pool of the adjacent property (a short walk along a wooded path). Please consult us in advance about the swimming pool.

A small jacuzzi is located at the end of the covered terrace of the house.

This area is fantastic for cycling, hiking and motocross, including horseback riding. Excursions can be arranged upon request.
