Caña Brava Farm

Description

Finca Caña Brava is located approximately 45 minutes from La Tebaida airport in Quindio. This haven of peace and tranquility includes 2 houses, an outdoor covered yoga room, a natural swimming pool and several trails for nature lovers.

The main house was designed by Colombian architect Simon Hosie in a contemporary vernacular of typical local architecture, which includes exposed caña brava roofs, as well as open rooms with retractable walls and doors for optimal enjoyment of the surrounding landscape. The house has 3 bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom and private terrace. The living and dining areas are connected by an interior garden, lush with tropical ferns, plants and flowers and retractable doors of tropical wood and parchment.

In addition to this, there is a guest suite about 25 meters from the main house that has a bedroom with a double bed, a small sitting area with a sofa bed (which can sleep an additional person) and a private bathroom. From the terrace of this house there are beautiful views of the bamboo forest.

The estate has a natural swimming pool, a gas barbecue and a badminton court. All in all, this is a private, very exclusive experience. The ambiance is innately Colombian with a decidedly oriental flair.

For those arriving by air, Caña Brava can arrange transportation from the airport to the farm, as well as any other excursions during your stay. Our manager can pick you up at the airport (additional cost) and help you with your market and any other excursions during your stay. Some of the other attractions in the area are: Coffee Park (about 15 minutes from the farm), Panaca (25 minutes), the Barragan River for kayaking (1 hour away) and Canopying (about 15 minutes drive).

Caña Brava has 9 horses for the exclusive use of guests, and an administrator who is a great guide for horseback riding in the area. (Additional cost: $ 15,000 pesos per person per hour). In addition, there is a small kiosk for yoga and meditation, located in the middle of a bamboo forest.
